Below you will be able to see all the collections and styles I've done over the past 4 years. All my work from Cornell and VIA Design. I think it's imporant to showcase these collections as stories. At Cornell, I had the pleasure of studying portfolio building with Professor Van Dyke Lewis and he said the most important feature in a portfolio is the ability to do storytelling with your graphical layout and visual material. Each collection will transport you into that collections univers and hopefully experience my collections as I intended.

GALACTIC LILATECH is inspired by Lars Wedels passion for the 1920’s America, called Art Deco & Art Nouveau, combined with his longing for Asian culture, especially Japanese culture and the Bangkok neon light district. Lars has been looking at the SS20 trends and has combined these worlds with the trend of Galaxy and bold neon colors.
GALACTIC LILATECH will transport you into an otherworldly atmosphere, feeling like you are floating among the Northern Lights, various galaxies and time travel. The prints and colors should transport you into the world of galactic lilacs, purples, pinks, along side neon blues, turquoise and yellow, white and gold for contrast.
Nordic Kabuki is a combination of Nordic elegance, minimalism and beauty, mixed with the traditional Japanese art form of Kabuki theatre, dating back since the 17th century. Kabuki can be interpreted as "avant-garde" or "bizarre" theatre, shown through dance, dramatisation and reflecting Japanese mythology and history.
My goal was to create a collection that could tell the story of Kabuki and make people want to learn about this grand art form, turning traditional Kabuki costumes, prints, materials and colours into 21st century fashion.

Sanctuary, is a fantasy combination of the ocean, animals and royalty. Sanctuary symbolises a world consumed by the ocean. This collection is inspired by the WGSN Trend Board HumaNature. HumaNature is a board that uses nature and natural elements to create a more subdued and a flashback to the past. I have used this inspiration of nature and mixed it with the idea of Atlantica and a world consuming by water, but there is still civilization.
Sanctuary represents the regality of Atlantica and how we can see modern fashion, in a world surrounded by water.
In March 2017 I participated in the 33rd annual Fashion Show hosted by the Cornell Fashion Collective. My dress Eloizé was shown in front of 2000 people at Barton Hall and the theme was Demented Circus. My inspirations came from french mimes, cellophane paper and the idea of gift wrapping and a present.

COLLECTION 1 ASSIGNMENT
My first assignment at VIA University College called Collection 1. Attention ! is based on team picking sociology. Red being the more aggressive team and blue being the more inclusive color. Based on the WGSN SS17 board called Digital Wave Europe. Inspiration is drawn from Japanese art history and cultural elements.
Hommes Avec Decoratifs is inspired by the style period Art Deco and it’s fantastic prints and embellishments and combine both masculinity and femininity. The collection will convey the grand exterior people portrayed, where people dressed up to go out in public and show their worth, through their appearance & gestures.
