FITTING IS IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE THE GARMENTS FITS PERFECTLY ON THE MODEL OR CLIENT.
PATTERNMAKING EITHER BY USING A MANNEQUIN or USING SAMPLE BASIC SAMPLE PATTERN AND CREATING MY OWN GARMENT FROM THOSE.
DESIGN DNA IS THE ABILITY TO TAKE A DESIGNERS OR BRANDS AESTHETIC DNA AND CREATE PRODUCTS BASED ON THOSE TRAITS.
VIA DESIGN TEACHES YOU ABOUT FIBER CONTENT, HOW TO LOOK, SMELL AND FEEL FABRICS AND RECOGNIZE IF THE FABRIC MATCHES THE LABEL.
I LOVE CREATING MY OWN PRINTS. WORKING WITH ANNA SUI MADE ME SO INSPIRED TO CREATE MY OWN PRINTS, EITHER SEAMLESS PRINTS OR BIG STYLE SPECIFIC PRINTS
PHOTOSHOOTS, UNIVERSE BUILDING AND STYLING IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE THE GARMENT STAND OUT. I LOVE BEING BOTH IN FRONT AND BEHIND THE CAMERA
I WAS FORTUNATE TO LEARN HOW TO USE LASER CUTTING TECHNOLOGY AT CORNELL AND MAKING ONE OF MY DRESSES FULLY BY THIS METHOD.
AT CORNELL WE WERE ENCURAGED TO LEARN COMPUTERIZED PATTERNMAKING USING OPTITEX. THIS METHOD OF PATTERN MAKING IS BRILLIANT.
TREND RESEARCH FROM WGSN AND MORE IS IMPORTANT. I LIKE TO TAKE A CONCEPT AND SPIN IN INTO SOMETHING MORE AND UNIQUE, BUT STILL KEEP IT TRUE TO THAT PARTICULAR SEASONS TREND.
